According To The Scriptures:

IF A MAN DIE, SHALL HE LIVE AGAIN?

This important question (Job 14:14) is answered in Job 19:25-26:

"For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though  after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:"

Job knew that he would die some day, but the Lord had revealed to him that he would be resurrected to live again in the same flesh. Like all Old Testament saints, he knew that he would not come forth in what is called the "rapture" (catching away) of the "bride".

I Thess. 4:16-17:

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
Jesus will not stand upon the earth until after the true churches have been caught up and the tribulation is over. There will be 1,000 years of resurrection between the beginning of the "resurrection of life" and the "resurrection of damnation", Rev. 20:5:

"But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection."

SUMMARY: THE ORDER OF THE RESURRECTIONS IS:

  • The dead in Christ and the bride (church: saved, faithful) will be caught up when Christ comes in the air (rapture).
  • There will be seven years of tribulation on earth:  II Thess. 2:3:

"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition."

  • At the end of the seven years of tribulation, the unfaithful saved (who were not ready to go when Jesus came for His bride) will be killed by the man of sin.
  • All the Old Testament saints and those saved during the Great Tribulation will be resurrected.
  • The 1,000-year reign of Christ on earth will begin, and those saved during the 1,000 years will receive glorified bodies when they die. (Death is the only enemy of man during the 1,000 years, I Cor. 15:26.)
  • At the end of the 1,000 years, the rest of the dead (unsaved of all ages) will live again (Rev. 20:5).
  • Every man in his own order, I Cor. 15:23:

"But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming."

We have a choice as to which resurrection we will come forth in. My prayer for all people is that they will accept Christ as Saviour and will be Christ's at His coming. Let me show you how to be sure that you are Christ's.
