According To The Scriptures:

AT LAST - PEACE ON EARTH!

We have learned from the Scriptures that God catches up His saints (I Thess. 4:13-18), followed by the seven years of tribulation on earth. During the last half (3 1/2 years) of the tribulation, the Gentiles tread under foot the temple court (Rev. 11:2). At the end of the tribulation, the taking out of the Gentiles is over.

Then God turns back to the nation of Israel and other nations. The earth will be ruled by Jesus on the throne of David. "The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah [the people] and Jerusalem [the land]...all nations shall flow unto it [Jerusalem]...And he shall judge among the nations...nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more" (Isa. 2:1-4). NOTE: God refers here to "nations" - not "churches" - because the true churches will be here on earth with Jesus in glorified bodies that cannot die any more.

All leaders of the nations on earth will be godly people: Jesus will be King. "And he [Jesus] shall rule them with a rod of iron..." (Rev. 2:27). The twelve disciples will "sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel" (Matt. 19:28). The overcomers from the Lord's churches shall rule the Gentile nations. "And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations" (Rev. 2:26).

There will be no wicked, money-hungry rulers that legalize alcoholic drinks and kill people just for the sake of profit. "Woe to him that buildeth a town with blood, and stablisheth a city by iniquity!...Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also..." (Hab. 2:12-15).

SATAN BOUND FOR 1,000 YEARS

Rev. 20:1-4:

"And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. "

DURING THE 1,000 YEARS

Satan will be bound while Christ reigns 1,000 years (Rev. 20:1-4), and these conditions will exist:

  • The earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea (Hab. 2:14). NOTE: There is no vacancy (empty space) in water; i.e., the knowledge of the glory of the Lord will be everywhere!
  • The desert shall blossom as the rose. There will be no weak hands, feeble knees, blind eyes, or deaf ears. The lame shall leap and the dumb shall sing. There shall be streams in the desert. (Isa. 35:1-6)
  • The abundance of the sea shall be converted unto Israel. (Isa. 60:5)
  • Everyone will live to be at least 100 years old. (Isa. 65:20). The wolf and the lamb shall feed together. The lion shall eat straw like the bullock. The serpent shall eat dust. "They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD" (Isa. 65:20-25).
  • The soil will be very fertile. The plowman will overtake the reaper. The seed will grow and mature while being planted. (Amos 9:13)
  • "And I will plant them [Israel] upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God" (Amos 9:15). Read Isa. 11:6-9.
  • "For I will take you [Israel] from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land, And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God" (Eze. 36:24-28).
  • "This is the covenant that I will make with them [Israel] after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more" (Heb. 10:16-17).
The skeptic will say, "Are these things to be taken literally?" Yes! Even though these words were directed to Israel, these conditions will affect the whole world. Jesus will be Lord of Lords and the King of the whole world. Also, the whole world (including where you live and where I live) will have all of these benefits.

AFTER THE 1,000 YEARS

"And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever" (Rev. 20:7-10).NOTE: No war is fought to destroy Satan and the deceived nations. Fire came down from God and devoured them (Rev. 20:9). Only the saved are spared. If you are not saved, please ask Jesus to save you.
