HOW SHOULD CHRISTIANS DRESS?

I, personally, believe that the skimpy way church members dress today lets us know that there aren't many saved people on earth.  Decide for yourself.

Before Adam and Eve sinned, they were not ashamed of their nakedness but, after they sinned, Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.

Gen. 3:8: 
 
"And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden."
 
Gen. 3:21:
 
"Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them."
The priests of God were warned about proper clothing.
Exo. 20:26:
 
"Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon."
This statement makes it very plain that God doesn't want men to show their nakedness.
Exo. 28:42:
 
"And thou shalt make them linen breeches to cover their nakedness; from the loins even unto the thighs they shall reach:"
Remember: These priests that are spoken of here already wore holy garments (read Exo. 28:1-4). But to be sure that their nakedness should not be seen, they needed breeches.

God does not want the woman to dress like a man or the man to dress like a woman.

Deut. 22:5:
 
"The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God."

 

It seems as though the Holy Spirit's heart was about to burst when He had Paul to instruct young Timothy to instruct the churches how far women would sink before the return of Christ.
I Tim. 2:14-15:
 
"And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety."
In plain language of today, Paul is saying that the only thing that distinguishes a woman from a man is that it is a woman that bears a child. This is so true. Women are soldiers, police, cab drivers, political officers, etc. But today's dress and haircuts make women look like men. I talked to what I thought was a young man; when "he" walked away, someone informed me that it was the wife of a man that calls himself a preacher. What a shame. What about shorts and dresses with straps, naked over the shoulders, that you see in so-called churches? What does God have to say about that?
Isa. 47:1-3:
 
"Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate. Take the millstones, and grind meal: uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers.  Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man."

God says that He will take vengeance on those who show the thigh. That means shorts -- cheerleaders, dancers, etc. God says He will take vengeance on them.

 

If a person is in their right mind, they will be clothed.

Mark 5:15:
 
"And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid."
 
I Tim. 2:9:
 
"In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;"
What has happened to today's women? They dress little girls like "street women". Even so-called "Christian schools" allow shorts to be worn by both boys and girls. Some churches allow shorts, and the preachers do not warn the parents that, if the thigh shows, they are naked in God's sight.
 
When Jesus comes for His bride, will He find you "naked" (thigh visible) or "in your right mind" (clothed)?  God's morals never change.
