According To The Scriptures:

THE BOOK OF REVELATION

REVELATION 15

1 And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.

Notice the words, “the seven last plagues”.  Notice, also, “for in them is filled up the wrath of God.”

I view the 15th chapter of Revelation as a starting point of the wrath of God and the beginning of God delivering Israel the second time (read Isaiah 11:11). Beginning in the 16th chapter of Revelation, we will see that God uses some of the same plagues that He used to deliver Israel out of the land of Egypt in the 9th chapter of Exodus. This (Isaiah 11:11) will be the second and last time God will need to deliver Israel.

2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

In order to understand some of the statements made in the remaining chapters of Revelation, we need to go back to Revelation 1:1 and see that this book of the Bible is said to be “signified”, which means signs and symbols. Much of the remaining book of Revelation will be in symbols. For instance, “as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire”. Fire is not always burning fire. Our “faith may be tried with fire” (I Peter 1:7). However, all symbols in the book of Revelation are clearly distinguished by such statements as “like unto” (Revelation 1:13), or “as it were” (Revelation 15:2). For a better understanding read, “The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth are peoples…” (Revelation 17:15).

Notice this statement, “I saw as it were [symbolic] a sea [symbolic – meaning peoples] and them [referring to peoples] that had gotten the victory over the beast…” (Revelation 15:2). The “beast” spoken of here is one of the unholy trinity (3) that rule during the 3 ½ years of the “great tribulation” (Revelation 16:13).

3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.

Notice that the song they sing speaks of “Moses the servant of God”, but they sing the “song of the Lamb [Jesus]” and proclaim Him as “Lord God Almighty” (Revelation 15:3). No one but the Lamb (Jesus -- God) is holy -- not Buddha, Allah – nothing or no one else but the “Lord God Almighty”! Amen!

4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

When Jesus comes to the earth at the end of the “great tribulation”, all nations come before Him.

“And before him shall be gathered all nations” (Matthew 25:32).

Jesus does not come to the earth when He comes for His bride, which will be made up of the overcomers of all true churches (Revelation 2:7, 11, 17, 26; 3:5, 12). The bride is caught up (I Thessalonians 4:17).

Prepare to meet thy God because, when the seven angels pour out the seven last plagues, we DO NOT want to be on earth!

The only way to miss this judgment of God upon this wicked world is to:

(1) Repent;

(2) Trust Jesus;

(3) Be scripturally baptized;

(4) Be a faithful member of one of the Lord’s true churches, whose doctrines are all Scriptural as those of the American Baptist Association churches are.

5 And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:

6 And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.

7 And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.

8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.
