THE BOOK OF REVELATION
REVELATION 6
THE TRIBULATION BEGINS
The tribulation will last about seven years. In this lesson, we study the first 3 ½ years of the opening of the seven seals of the book held in the hand of the One sitting upon the throne (Rev. 5:1). In those days, they wrote on scrolls and when one subject was completed, they would put a seal at that point and start another subject.
1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.
2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer (Rev. 6:1-2).Who was the rider of the white horse? As you read the rest of this Bible study, remember this one thing: I don't know! But I have studied about this for 57 years and this is what I believe: The rider of this white horse is a counterfeit. He is using a white horse as Jesus does when He comes back to the earth at the end of the great tribulation.
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war (Rev. 19:11).
But the rider of the white horse in Rev. 6:2 is a deceiver. He has a bow in His hand but nothing is said of an arrow. What damage can you do with a bow without an arrow?
21 And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries (Daniel 11:21).
I believe by birth this rider will be a Jew. This is the way the Jews spoke of their fathers:
24 He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time (Dan. 11:24).
I believe by religion this rider will be a Catholic -- or at least he will come out of Rome, Italy. In speaking of the coming "MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT" (Rev. 17:5), the city is said to sit upon seven mountains:
9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth (Rev. 17:9).
According to my encyclopedia, Rome is the only major city that sits upon seven hills.
THE RIDER'S FIRST DECEITFUL ACTION
I believe the rider's first deceitful action is to allow the Jews to rebuild the temple that Titus destroyed in A.D. 70. He will make a 7-year covenant with the Jews and they will be allowed to rebuild their temple. It will take them 3 ½ years to rebuild the temple. When the Jews have finished rebuilding their temple, the rider of this white horse (called the "man of sin") will bring an image of himself into the temple (that the Jews rebuilt in which to worship God) and he will demand that they worship him instead of God.
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) (Matt. 24:15).
This is the beginning of the last 3 ½ years of the 7-year tribulation. This is the "Great Tribulation":
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be (Matt. 24:21).
11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.
13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days (Dan. 12:11-13).
This wicked deceiver will call himself "God":
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God (II Thess. 2:4).
Is there a person alive today who could be this deceiver? Yes, there was a person who would fit this description in Paul's day and there has been ever since. Paul wrote:
For the mystery of iniquity doth already work... (II Thess. 2:7).
His coming is after the working of Satan.
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders (II Thess. 2:9).
Have you wondered lately why there have been so many so-called appearances of Mary, or the Lady of Fatima, as Jesus taught in Matthew?
23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect [saved] (Matt. 24:23-24).
Question every doctrine and supposedly "Christian" action in the church of your membership. If it cannot be read from the Bible, it isn't of God.
THE GREAT LAST WAR BEGINS
3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.
4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword (Rev. 6:3-4).This war will last 3 ½ years unless God shortens it.
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened (Matt. 24:21-22).
Israel is warned to flee (Matt. 24:16). God has a place for Israel to flee into (Rev. 12:13-17). I believe that the place Israel will flee into is possibly the city of Petra. This war will end with Jesus coming back to earth with His saints.
14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints (Jude 1:14).
Is it possible that the great tribulation happened in A.D. 70 when Titus overran the temple and destroyed it? No! This war ends immediately after the tribulation. This did not happen in A.D. 70. It is yet future.
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory (Matt. 24:29-30).
The white horse represents peace -- but in this case it is a false peace. The red horse represents war.
To make these studies more interesting, remember that the great river Euphrates will be dried up to make a way for the kings of the east to go to the battle of Armageddon. (Read Rev. 9:13-19.) Check out the river Euphrates on the internet -- this will excite you!
12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared...
14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon (Rev. 16:12-16).
This war is described in such a horrible way:
12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth (Zech. 14:12).
20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs [approximately 200 miles] (Rev. 14:20).
Jesus died to save us from this terrible war -- but to miss it, a person must have believed on Jesus before He calls up His true churches (I Thess. 4:13-18; I Cor. 15:51-52). Those who have heard the Word of God but did not receive Jesus as Saviour before the coming of Jesus for His churches will be sent a strong delusion.
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness (II Thess. 2:10-12).
What a terrible thought that some who sit in true churches and hear the truth preached will refuse to accept Jesus because of fame, fortune, and fun will be sent this strong delusion so that they can never be saved! Please repent of your sins and accept Jesus right now before it is too late.
This war, even though it will be a world war, will be fought in the valley of Jehoshaphat.
1 For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,
2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat... (Joel 3:1-2).
That valley is where the blood shall run for approximately 200 miles to the horses' bridles as mentioned in Rev. 14:20.
9 Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up:
10 Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong (Joel 3:9-10).
There is no such thing as a "conscientious objector" -- just religious cowards. God's people are told to:
14 ...fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses (Neh. 4:14).
IS JUDAS ISCARIOT THE "MAN OF SIN"?
Will Judas rule over the great war that ends with the battle of Armageddon? Decide for yourself!
15 And I will put enmity between thee [Satan] and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. (Gen. 3:15).
How did Jesus become the seed of the woman? By birth. How does Satan have a seed? Who was Satan's seed? Was Judas Iscariot born of Satan? Think! Satan was to bruise the heel of the woman's seed (Jesus). This had to happen at Calvary because, since the ascension of Jesus, Satan cannot even bruise His heel. Jesus called one of the twelve a "devil".
70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
71 He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve. (John 6:70-71).
27 And after the sop Satan entered into him [Judas]. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly. (John 13:27).
When a person is born again is when the Spirit comes into him.
39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive) (John 7:39).
If believers are born of God when they receive the Spirit (i.e., the Spirit enters into the believer), wouldn't the one be born of Satan when Satan enters into him?
After Jesus was delivered to Pilate (Acts 27:2), Judas "...cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself" (Acts 27:5). Judas went "to his own place" (Acts 1:25).
If Judas had gone to the place where the rich man of Luke 16:19-31 went, he could not get out:
And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence... (Luke 16:26).
But Judas went "to his own place" (Acts 1:25).
Jesus called Judas "the son of perdition" (John 17:12). Guess what the "man of sin" is called? The "son of perdition"!
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition (II Thess. 2:3).
I believe Judas was a Jew. He was a disciple of Christ (a preacher). The devil (Satan) has no visible body. He is a spirit so, to be seen, someone has to provide him a body.
Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time (Rev. 12:12).
Watch out for so-called "miracles" that are going to deceive people (II Thess. 2:9-12). There is a Holy Trinity -- God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit (I Pet. 1:2 -- they are equal). (Read John 5:18-23.) Likewise, there is an "evil trinity" (the devil, the beast, and the false prophet):
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever (Rev. 20:10).
Remember: The beast and the false prophet "were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone" (Rev. 19:20). This happens 1,000 years before the devil is cast in -- and they are still there. This sounds like the place called "hell" to me!
These are the ones who will be there with them:
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death (Rev. 21:8).
But there is hope! Look at I Cor. 6:9-11:
9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God... (I Cor. 6:9-11).
We all have a choice as to what place we will spend eternity and with whom. What is your choice? Those who choose Jesus as Saviour will not have to exist with Satan in the lake of fire.
Recently, I saw a bumper sticker which said, "If you die believing there is no hell, you better be right!"
Later we will look at the horrible conditions during the tribulation, the final place called the lake of fire, and the second death.
Jesus died to save you. He lives to forgive you. Accept Him now!
GOD DESTROYS RUSSIA'S ARMY
What will cause all nations to flow down to try to destroy Israel? Something about the Dead Sea will be found to be so valuable that all nations will try to take it from Israel.
5 Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee (Isa. 60:5).
Russia will divert the waters of the Euphrates River and will be the first to use the river bed as a way to go down in their attempt to destroy Israel.
12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon (Rev. 16:12-16).
To understand the next Scriptures, you will need a Bible, a ruler (or something with a straight edge), and a map of the East.
1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him (Eze. 38:1-2).
Gog is the prince and Magog is the land. Why think that the land is Russia? Take your ruler or straight edge and on your map point your ruler due north of Jerusalem and you will see that Moscow, Russia, is due north of Jerusalem.
6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee (Eze. 38:6).
14 Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?
15 And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army (Eze. 38:14-15).
22 And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.
23 Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD (Eze. 38:22-23).
Notice in the above Scriptures that the Lord uses the elements to destroy Russia's army.
1 Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
2 And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel (Eze. 39:1-2).
THE SEVEN-MONTHS FUNERAL
12 And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land (Eze. 39:12).
Russia's army becomes food for flesh-eating birds and beasts of the field!
17 And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great
sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood (Eze. 39:17).
I believe the destruction of the army and bands of Russia will be the beginning of the 3 ½-year battle that will end at Armageddon. It will be the last war ever fought by man.
Russia will regroup near the end of Christ's reign on earth and try again to destroy God's people (Rev. 20:8). After Jesus reigns on earth for 1,000 years, the armies of the world will once again surround the saints and the beloved city of Jerusalem, but no battle will be fought. Fire will come down "from God out of heaven" and devour them (Rev. 20:9).
Trust Jesus and be faithful to Him and you will not be on earth at that time. You will be with Jesus in heaven.
In past studies, we saw Russia's army destroyed by the elements (Eze. 38:23-23; 39:1-2). After Russia's army is destroyed, the kings of the east will use the dry bed of the Euphrates River to come down into Israel's borders. The kings of the east (which I believe will include China, India, Japan, and others) will be joined by the "kings of the earth and of the whole world" (Rev. 16:14). I hope America will be there for Israel. This will ultimately end with the battle of Armageddon and, before the war is over, it will be almost like hell on earth.
THINGS THAT WILL HAPPEN BEFORE THE WAR IS OVER
At this time the third seal will be opened:
5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. The black horse represents a famine such as the world has never known before.
A penny represents a day's wages.
"And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard" (Matt. 20:2).
That penny (a day's wages) would buy one measure of wheat (nearly one quart) for a whole family to live on -- OR three measures of barley (about three quarts). Barley represents a cheaper food than wheat.
The oil and the wine represent the food of the rich and leaders, and these would be spared.
In World War II, as soon as enough land was secured from the enemy, an Officer's Club would be built. Have you ever seen a leader of a conquered country starve to death? Why wasn't the A-bomb dropped on Tokyo instead of two cities of lesser importance? Was it to spare Emperor Hirohito and his palace?
7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.
8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse [chrome green]: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. Following a famine comes death by starvation. The pale horse (chrome green) is the color of the people who starve to death. As I study the Revelation, it seems that at least 7/12 of the earth's population will die during the 3 ½ years of the great tribulation.
Now the picture changes from earth and gives us a view of the saved who die after the true churches have been caught up. Even though they are saved, they are not faithful enough to be caught up. They are represented by the five foolish virgins of Matt. 25:8. Their lamps had gone out. They were saved but not faithful -- unfaithful members of the church that was spewed out in Rev. 3:14-19. They were saved but had become liberal to the point that they were not worthy to go up as the Bride of Christ when the Bridegroom called (Matt. 25:1-13).
The church people have changed with the world instead of changing the world. The world has women preachers, but the Bible says that a woman is to "learn in silence" (I Tim. 2:11). A bishop is to be the "husband of one wife" (I Tim. 3:2). Women and men wear shorts in public. Some churches sponsor sports events where the women and men wear shorts, but the Bible says "...make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers. Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance..." (Isa. 47:2-3). Churches need to get back to modest apparel (I Tim. 2:9).
Why preach such a doctrine? For the same reason that we put stop signs to warn people that are driving: so they can prepare to stop.
We have a decision to make. We can refuse to believe in the great tribulation or the war that leads to the battle of Armageddon. Or we can repent and trust Jesus to save us from our sins and then be faithful to our Lord -- and we will miss the tribulation for we will be with Jesus. You choose!
THE CLEAR ANSWER TO "WHERE ARE THE SAVED DEAD?"
9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
What a comforting fact about our saved dead loved ones, friends, and brethren to know that they are not "soul sleeping" or unconscious! They are conscious and aware of what is taking place on earth as well as in heaven. Their bodies were slain but their souls (persons) are very much alive.
Down through the ages of Bible history many questions have been asked such as, "If a man die, shall he live again?" (Job 14:14). Job answers his own question: "And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God" (Job 19:26).
As the wise man Solomon searched for wisdom about the dead, he stated:
"For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other...All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again" (Eccl. 3:19-20).
But Solomon came to this conclusion regarding man:
"Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it" (Eccl. 12:7).
The psalmist David wrote: "As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness" (Psa. 17:15). There are many more such statements in the Old Testament.
In the New Testament. Jesus let us know that the soul cannot be killed, but the body can. "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell" (Matt. 10:28). Jesus used the word "both" to let us know that man's soul is not his body.
The soul leaves the body at death. A good example that the soul leaves the body at death is Rachel.
"And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she [Rachel] died) that she called his name Benoni: but his father called him Benjamin" (Gen. 35:18).
We see Moses who died (Deut. 34:5) with Elijah who was caught up (II Kings 2:11) talking with Jesus (Matt. 17:3).
We see the rich man in hell talking with Father Abraham (Luke 16:24).
We understand that as soon as Christians die they receive a spiritual body to live in until the resurrection of the fleshly body.
"For we know that if our earthly house [body] of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have [present tense] a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens" (II Cor. 5:1).
"We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord" (II Cor. 5:8).
"For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain" (Phil. 1:21).
All of the above Scriptures do not give as clear a picture of our deceased saved loved ones as Rev. 6:9-11:
(1) They are under the altar of God.
(2) They are conscious.
(3) They can talk.
(4) They can hear.
(5) They know that God is going to avenge their blood, etc. How I wish that every person on earth would confess Christ as Saviour for then Jesus would confess them before His Father in heaven. According to Jesus, there will be some who will not believe so none of the above Scriptures apply to them, but this Scripture applies to those who will not believe:
"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death" (Rev. 21:8).
There are only two places to go at death: heaven or hell. We all go to the place of our choosing. God sends no one to hell -- but if you choose to go to hell, God respects your choice.
Please repent and ask Jesus to save you. He will -- I know by experience.
IS THIS THE END OF THE WORLD?
12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
WHO SHALL BE ABLE TO STAND?This is a good question -- and it has a simple, complete answer: Those who are saved from their sins by God's grace!
It amazes me to read and hear people (some who are well-known preachers) who say that the end of the world is near. The Word of God is very clear that the end of the world is not near! The coming of Christ for His Bride (the saved -- dead and living -- who have been scripturally baptized and have faithfully served Christ through a true New Testament church) is near, I believe.
After Christ catches away His churches (I Thess. 4:13-18; I Cor. 15:51-52), there will be seven years of tribulation. The last half of the seven years (3 ½ years) will be the "great tribulation"that Jesus spoke of in Matt. 24:21:
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be... (Matt. 24:21).
During the "great tribulation", everything that is written in the book of Revelation will come to pass, beginning at Rev. 4:1 and going through Rev. 19:21. After that, Christ will rule on earth 1,000 years and, during this time, the only enemy to man on earth will be death (I Cor. 15:26).
During the 1,000-year reign of Christ on earth, the wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock (Isa. 65:19-25). Everyone shall live to be at least 100 years old, even the sinner; but the sinner shall still be accursed. There will be no blind, crippled, deaf, or dumb (Isa. 35:1-9). During the 1,000-year reign of Christ on earth, there will be a 1000-year resurrection.
But the rest of the dead [unsaved] lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection... (Rev. 20:5).
Satan will be bound for 1,000 years at the beginning of this 1,000 years (Rev. 20:2), but when the 1,000 years are finished, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison.
And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them... (Rev. 20:7-9).
Therefore, the "end of the world" is at least 1,000 years from the coming of Jesus back to the earth to reign for 1,000 years!
Keep in mind that if a lost person does not trust in Jesus before death, there is no chance to be saved after death.
Also, when Jesus returns, any lost person who has heard, read, or seen the true gospel but has not accepted Jesus as Saviour will remain lost after Jesus catches away His churches -- and that lost person can never be saved.
...because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.... (II Thess. 2:10-12).
Future studies will summarize the events that take place from now until the end of the world.
...behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation... (II Cor. 6:2).
Where we spend eternity is up to each of us. Repent, believe, be saved!
